About this site

Jane Sea Wreck is a Venezuelan cement cargo freighter, about 250 ft (76 m) long, sunk in 1988 as an artificial reef off the south-east side of Aruba. It sits nearly upright, right off a coral reef.

The bow is at 60 ft (18 m), the top of the stern at 45 ft (15 m) and the propeller at 90 ft (28 m). The wreck is encrusted with corals and surrounded by sea fans and brain corals.

The wreck is collapsing and unstable, so penetration is not permitted. It is dived as a drift dive. The neighbouring Barcadera Reef is a hard coral area sloping down to 90 ft (28 m).
