About this site
Agatti is one of the inhabited coral islands of the Lakshadweep archipelago, off the southwest coast of India in the Arabian Sea, and its airstrip makes it a common entry point for divers visiting the wider island chain. Japanese Garden lies among the reef formations in the waters surrounding the atoll, reached by boat from the island. Divers here have reported blackfin anemonefish, checkerboard wrasse, five-saddle parrotfish, Indian Ocean humbugs, powder blue tangs, spotted linckia sea stars, striped surgeonfish, and threadfin butterflyfish moving through the coral.
