About this site
This wreck lies off Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah on the northwest coast of Borneo, within reach of the islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. The South China Sea shelf here is dotted with several small wreck and reef sites used by dive operators based out of the city. The Japanese Wreck itself sits at a maximum depth of around 16 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it an accessible option among the wreck and reef sites scattered along this stretch of coast.
