About this site
Jardines de la Reina is a protected marine park off the southern coast of Cuba, made up of a long chain of small cays and reefs in the Caribbean Sea south of the Camaguey and Ciego de Avila provinces. It is well known for its strong shark presence, including reef sharks, along with groupers and other large predatory fish that have benefited from decades of restricted access and fishing controls. At this particular site the maximum depth runs to around 10 metres, and it is rated as a beginner dive.
