Kablinac lies near the islet of Veli Tetovišnjak in the Šibenik-Knin region of Croatia, part of the Kornati archipelago along the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic Sea. It is a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres, dropping through the limestone terrain typical of this stretch of coast. The surrounding waters are dotted with small islands and channels, and the site is generally accessed by boat from towns along the Šibenik coastline.
