About this site

Kanawa is a small island off the coast of Flores in West Manggarai Regency, on the western fringe of Komodo National Park in East Nusa Tenggara, sitting in the Flores Sea within a short boat ride of Labuan Bajo, the main gateway town for diving and boat trips into the park. The dive site here is a reef reaching a maximum depth of around 30 metres, rated a beginner dive with good visibility. Divers have reported batfish, grouper, lionfish, humphead wrasse, and snapper around the reef.
