About this site
Karang Nibong lies off Lang Tengah Island, a small island off the coast of Terengganu on Malaysia's east coast, within the same marine area as the better known Perhentian and Redang islands. The waters here sit in the South China Sea and are typically accessed by boat from Lang Tengah or nearby mainland jetties such as Kuala Besut. The reef reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres, and divers have reported ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, and trevally on the site.
