About this site
Kasumi (カスミ) is a boat site about 15 minutes from northern Amami Oshima in Kagoshima Prefecture, named for the school of pyramid butterflyfish that lives on its rock and comes straight up to divers on descent. Electric file clams and batfish add to a good variety of life that rewards a slow dive. Current light to moderate.
