About this site
Kata Beach House Reef sits just off Kata Beach on the west coast of Phuket, Thailand, and is dived directly from shore over a reef bottom. It reaches a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is considered a beginner-friendly site. Divers have reported barracuda, fusiliers, snapper, surgeonfish, triggerfish, and tuna moving over the reef, along with smaller finds such as lionfish, scorpionfish, parrotfish, ornate ghost pipefish, and even a mimic octopus.
