Key Biscayne

Key Biscayne is a barrier island south of Miami, sitting where Biscayne Bay meets the Atlantic at the northern end of the Florida Keys chain. Dive and snorkel sites here draw on the nearshore reef and hard bottom structure off the island, typically reached by boat from marinas along the bay side. Divers have reported a range of reef fish on these grounds, including Atlantic blue tang, bicolor damselfish, doctorfish, and several parrotfish and wrasse species such as the redband parrotfish, striped parrotfish, bluehead wrasse, clown wrasse, yellowhead wrasse, and slippery dick.
