La Bouee

Tikehau is one of the atolls of the Tuamotus in French Polynesia, and its sites are typically reached by boat from the main village of Tuherahera through the single pass into the lagoon. La Bouee lies within this lagoon and pass system, an area known generally for its clear water and coral formations typical of Tuamotu atolls. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 28 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers have reported lionfish, snapper, and surgeonfish here, and some have also noted sea snakes and the risk of nitrogen narcosis at depth.
