About this site
Teonai is a dive site within Tikehau, one of the atolls of the Tuamotus archipelago in French Polynesia, built around a lagoon connected to the open ocean by a pass. Sites around this pass and lagoon are typically reached by boat from the main village of Tuherahera. Divers here have reported Hawaiian convict surgeonfish, lined bristletooth, threadfin butterflyfish, small giant clams, and Indo-Pacific rock-boring urchins on the reef.
