Anton Lizardo sits along the coast of Veracruz, south of the port city of Veracruz, in the reef system of the Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano on Mexico's Gulf coast. Arrecife El Rizo is one of the reef formations in this area, reached by boat from the small fishing and naval town of Anton Lizardo.
