About this site
La Pescera lies along Colombia's Caribbean coast near Santa Marta, in the department of Magdalena, close to the Tayrona region where the Sierra Nevada mountains meet the sea and rocky points give way to small bays. Divers here have reported boulder brain coral, boulder star coral, greater star coral, and symmetrical brain coral forming the reef structure, along with Brazilian ocean surgeonfish, redband parrotfish, and West Indian sea eggs moving through it.
