La Piscinita lies along the coastline of San Andrés, the main island of the San Andrés y Providencia archipelago in the western Caribbean, off Colombia's mainland but administered as Colombian territory. The island's shore here is typical of the shallow reef flats found around San Andrés town, with easy access from the coast road.
