About this site
Laara Thila is a thila site in Ari Atoll, one of the coral formations rising from the atoll floor that this part of the Maldives is known for. These thila sites sit within the reef channels of the atoll and are typically reached by dhoni or dive boat from the surrounding resorts. The site tops out at a shallow reef bottom with a maximum depth of around 9 metres. Divers have also reported manta rays passing through here.
