About this site
Laguna Reef sits along the Sinai coast near Sharm El Sheikh, on the Red Sea's western shore where numerous fringing reefs line the approach to the Strait of Tiran. The area is typically accessed by boat from the Sharm el-Sheikh marinas that serve the many dive sites scattered along this coastline. The reef bottom here reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported butterflyfish, glassfish, nudibranchs, octopus, and triggerfish among the reef life.
