About this site
Lankan Caves sits at the northern tip of North Male Atoll, near the island of Lankanfinolhu in Kaafu Atoll. The site is built around overhangs and swim-throughs cut into the reef rather than true caves, facing the open channel, with a maximum depth of around 30 metres. It is rated a beginner dive, with the overhangs providing shelter for reef fish along the reef structure. Divers here have also reported eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, and tuna passing along the channel edge.
