Lankan Manta Point

Lankan Manta Point sits off Lankanfinolhu in North Male Atoll, on a reef corner known as a cleaning station for manta rays. Divers come here mainly for the chance to see mantas circling the cleaning stations, particularly during the southwest monsoon months when plankton concentrations draw them in. Depths are generally moderate, with the cleaning station itself often found in the 8 to 15 metre range, making it accessible to a fairly wide range of divers, though currents at atoll corners like this can pick up and call for some experience. The site is a shallow reef rather than a wall or wreck, and sightings are seasonal rather than guaranteed.
