About this site
Las Eras lies along the coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, off the volcanic shoreline of this Atlantic island of Spain, within the stretch of black volcanic rock typical of the island's dive areas. It is a reef site with a maximum depth of around 30 metres, rated a beginner dive with generally light current, though divers have also reported some current and undertow here. Barracuda, eagle rays, and octopus are regularly encountered, and divers have also reported angelfish, damselfish, garden eels, grouper, lizardfish, moray eels, nudibranchs, parrotfish, pufferfish, scorpionfish, snapper, stingrays, triggerfish, and wrasse on the reef.
