About this site
Las Gorgonias sits along Spain's southern coast near the Strait of Gibraltar, a stretch of water where Atlantic swells meet a rocky reef bottom. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is generally rated an intermediate dive. Divers here have reported Atlantic horse mackerel, brown comber, common octopus, and midsize squid moving along the reef.
