Las Rayas lies along the Tenerife coastline in the Canary Islands, an archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa shaped largely by volcanic activity. The island's shores here are typically volcanic rock and black sand, with sites accessed from nearby coastal towns by boat or shore entry. The reef reaches a maximum depth of around 33 metres and is rated an intermediate dive.
