About this site
Laughing Bird Caye sits within Laughing Bird Caye National Park, off the coast of Belize near Placencia, along the barrier reef system of the Belize reef complex. The caye itself is a small sand and coral island rising from a submarine ridge, part of the protected marine area managed within Belize's reef system. Diving here is rated beginner, with depths reaching around 27.4 metres. Divers have also reported nurse sharks around the site.
