About this site
Leon Sinks is a karst spring and cave system south of Tallahassee, Florida, part of the broader Woodville Karst Plain that also feeds Wakulla Springs. The area consists of a series of sinkholes connected by underwater passages carved into the limestone aquifer, and it is a well known destination for cave and cavern divers trained for that environment. It lies within the Leon Sinks Geological Area, managed as part of the Apalachicola National Forest.
