About this site
Leven Bank lies off the coast of Tanzania in the waters near Zanzibar. It reaches a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated an intermediate dive, with strong currents a consistent feature of the site. Barracuda, tuna, nudibranchs, and whales are all found here, and divers have also reported bannerfish, fusiliers, grouper, jacks and trevally, lobster, mackerel, marble rays, moray eels, Napoleon wrasse, snapper, and unicornfish moving through the reef.
