About this site
This dive site off Terceira in the Azores features the wreck of the Lidador, a sunken cargo ship resting at 30 meters. The wreck is encrusted with marine life, including colorful sponges, anemones, and schools of barracuda. Strong currents attract pelagic species like manta rays and occasional hammerheads. The surrounding volcanic rock formations create swim-throughs and overhangs teeming with moray eels and octopus. Visibility is typically excellent, making it ideal for advanced divers. The site offers a mix of wreck and reef diving with dramatic underwater scenery.
