About this site
Lighthouse Bommies lies off the Queensland coast, with coordinates placing it near Lady Elliot Island in the southern Great Barrier Reef region. The site is a pinnacle formation, made up of coral outcrops rising from the seabed, and is rated a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 13 metres. Divers have reported barracuda, bull sharks, reef sharks, grouper, tuna, dolphins, and sea turtles around the bommies.
