About this site

Lighthouse is a shallow reef site off Ticao Island, in the Ticao Pass area between Masbate and Bicol, a stretch of water known for strong currents funneling between the islands. Dive sites near the island are typically reached by boat from small coastal towns on Ticao itself. This particular site tops out at around 10 metres and is rated a beginner dive over reef terrain, making it a good muck-style spot for slower, close-focus diving. Mandarinfish and seahorses are regularly found here, and divers have also reported blue-ringed octopus, cuttlefish, ghost pipefish, grouper, nudibranchs, octopus, scorpionfish, snapper, and squid on the reef.
