About this site
Little St. James is a small island off the southeastern coast of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, separated from the main island by a narrow channel. The reef around its shoreline is typically reached by boat from St. Thomas and sits over a rocky bottom, with a maximum depth of about 12.2 metres, making it a beginner dive. Divers have reported eagle rays, nurse sharks, sea turtles, and snapper around the site, though sightings vary from trip to trip.
