About this site
Lobster Bank lies in the coastal waters off Mombasa, on Kenya's Indian Ocean coast, within reach of the marine parks and reef systems that dive operators along this stretch of shoreline commonly use. Mombasa's dive sites are typically accessed by boat from the town or nearby beach resorts such as Nyali or Diani. Divers here have reported banded sea urchins, blue-black urchins, long-spined crown-of-thorns starfish, and red-knobbed sea stars on the bank.
