About this site
Lobster Shack lies off North Coronado Island, part of the Coronado Islands group a short distance off the coast of Baja California, Mexico, near Tijuana and the US border. These islands are a common boat destination for divers out of San Diego, given their proximity to the southern California coastline. The site is a reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 18.3 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers here have reported California sea lions, common dolphins, and harbor seals, along with occasional northern elephant seals, McPeak's anemones, and white sea urchins on the reef.
