About this site

Mabul Island sits off the southeastern coast of Sabah in Malaysian Borneo, close to Sipadan and within the Celebes Sea, and is known widely as a muck diving destination with sandy slopes around its perimeter. Lobster Wall is one of the reef edges found along that shoreline, a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 25 metres, rated as a beginner site with good visibility. Seahorses are a regular find here, and divers have also reported clownfish, frogfish, ghost pipefish, mandarinfish, mimic octopus, nudibranchs, triggerfish, and stonefish along the wall. Stonefish have also been noted as a hazard to watch for on the bottom.
