About this site
Lake Geneva shore site just after Meillerie towards Saint-Gingolph, the deepest dive on the French side of the lake at over 100 m. A steeply inclined slope with rock drop-offs in great steps, vertical in places right from the shore, especially under the loading pontoon; water often clear, an Arctic char spawning ground from 40–50 m towards Évian, otherwise poor in life. Working quarry: weekends, holidays or after 17:00 only; do not drive down the track without a 4x4.
