Aorangi Island lies off Matapouri on the Tutukaka Coast of Northland, New Zealand, part of the Poor Knights Islands group's wider coastal waters. The area is known for volcanic rock formations, including caves, crevices and swim-throughs cut into the island's shoreline. Dive boats running out of Matapouri and Tutukaka commonly work this stretch of coast.
