Long Shoal lies off Costa Rica's Caribbean coast, near the country's southern shoreline toward the Panama border, close to 9.65 N, -82.66 W. It is a drift site with a maximum depth of around 15 metres, shallow compared to many sites in the region, but it is rated an advanced dive, which points to current as the main factor divers need to manage here.
