About this site
LST 282 lies off the coast of southern France, near the Provence coastline where Allied landing operations took place in 1944. LST 282 itself was a US Navy tank landing ship lost that year, and its remains sit in shallow water not far offshore. The site has a maximum depth of around 4 metres and is considered suitable for beginners.
