Maadhu Muli lies within Kaafu Atoll in North Male Atoll, in the reef channel area near Maadhoo island. This part of the Maldives is made up of coral atolls with numerous named channel and thila sites accessed by dhoni or dive boat from resorts and local islands in the atoll.
