Magic Reef

Magic Reef lies off the coast of Zanzibar, the island group in the Indian Ocean off mainland Tanzania, in waters known for coral reef formations scattered along the western and northern shores. Sites in this stretch are typically reached by boat from towns such as Nungwi or Stone Town. The reef reaches a maximum depth of around 22 metres and is rated an intermediate dive over a reef bottom, well suited to macro life. Leaf scorpionfish, octopus, scorpionfish, and seahorses are common finds here, and divers have also reported crocodilefish, cuttlefish, frogfish, ghost pipefish, mantis shrimp, nudibranch, rhinopias, and sea turtles on the reef.
