About this site
Mahanga Bay sits on the eastern side of Wellington Harbour on New Zealand's North Island, near Point Halswell and Scorching Bay on the Miramar Peninsula. It is a sheltered stretch of the harbour, within a short drive of central Wellington, and the site here is a reef reaching a maximum depth of around 14 metres. Despite the modest depth, it is rated an advanced dive.
