Scorching Bay sits on the Miramar Peninsula within Wellington Harbour, on the North Island of New Zealand. It is a popular sheltered bay used by locals for swimming, and the calmer waters here contrast with the more exposed sites elsewhere around the harbour entrance. The reef here is a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 8 metres, making it an easy, shallow option compared to the more exposed spots near the harbour entrance.
