About this site
Malaga Cove sits along the Palos Verdes Peninsula in Los Angeles County, California, facing the Pacific Ocean near Torrance and Redondo Beach. The cove is part of a rocky stretch of coastline known for its sandstone bluffs and reef formations extending out from shore. It's a beginner dive with a shallow max depth of around 4.6 metres over the reef. Entry is over rocky terrain, and divers have noted a strenuous climb back up to the parking lot afterward. Barracuda and octopus have also been reported at the site.
