About this site
Mango Bay sits on the northwest coast of Koh Tao, an island in Surat Thani province in the Gulf of Thailand. It is a sheltered bay reached by boat from the island's main piers, on the side facing away from the more built-up east coast beaches. The reef here tops out at around 5 metres, making it a beginner site with light current and good visibility. Fusiliers and grouper are regular sightings on the reef, and divers have also reported angelfish, butterflyfish, damselfish, triggerfish, nudibranchs, and the occasional turtle, eagle ray, seahorse, frogfish, barracuda, or humphead wrasse passing through.
