About this site
Nang Yuang Cave lies just off the northwest tip of Ko Tao in Surat Thani province, in the Gulf of Thailand, part of the small island cluster connected by a sandbar to Ko Tao itself. It is reached by boat from Ko Tao's dive operators, sitting in the granite boulder terrain typical of this part of the gulf, and is rated as a beginner site. Nudibranchs are a regular find here, and divers have also reported barracuda, grouper, pipefish, tuna, manta rays, leopard and zebra sharks, thresher sharks, and even hammerhead sharks passing through.
