About this site
Glover's Reef is an atoll offshore of southern Belize, part of the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, sitting well east of the mainland and its cayes. Manta Wall lies along the atoll's drop-off, where the reef shelf gives way to deeper Caribbean water, with the wall descending to a maximum depth of around 24.4 metres. It is rated a beginner dive, running along the wall bottom itself, and divers here regularly encounter grouper and nurse sharks. Atlantic blue tang, creole wrasse, and redband parrotfish have also been spotted along the wall, adding some reef color to the drop-off scenery.
