About this site
Middle Caye sits within Glover's Reef Atoll, one of Belize's four coral atolls, off the country's southern coast in the Caribbean Sea. It is home to a marine research station and ranger base, and the surrounding reef system drops off into a wall over a reef bottom that rings the atoll. The wall is rated a beginner dive, and nurse sharks are a regular sighting here. Divers have also reported eagle rays, sea turtles, and stingrays along the site.
