Marsa Assalaya sits along the Red Sea coast of Egypt's Al Bahr al Ahmar governorate, a stretch known for its fringing reefs and sheltered bays. This is a wall site with a reef bottom, reaching a maximum depth of around 25 metres, and it is rated a beginner-friendly dive. Divers have reported clownfish, crocodilefish, lionfish, Napoleon wrasse, nudibranchs, pipefish, and seahorses along the wall.
