Marsa Bareika

Marsa Bareika is a broad bay on the Ras Mohammed peninsula at the southern tip of the Sinai, near Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. It sits within Ras Mohammed National Park, where the Gulf of Suez and Gulf of Aqaba meet, and is typically reached by boat from the park's coastline. The site has a reef bottom and reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres, rated as a beginner dive. Eagle rays, mackerel, octopus, nudibranchs, scorpionfish, lionfish and whale sharks are regularly seen here, and divers have also reported dolphins, frogfish, ghost pipefish, guitarfish, moray eels, stingrays and manta rays around the bay. Lionfish are present enough that some divers flag them as a hazard worth watching for.
