Ras Mohamed National Marine Park

Ras Mohammed National Marine Park sits at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, where the Gulf of Aqaba meets the Gulf of Suez near Sharm El Sheikh. The park is known for its sheer walls, particularly at Shark Reef and Yolanda Reef, where the reef drops steeply into deep water and currents often sweep along the drop-off. Divers commonly encounter large schools of jacks and barracuda, along with reef sharks, napoleon wrasse, and dense soft coral growth on the walls. The Yolanda wreck site is also known for its scattered cargo of bathroom fixtures and toilets, left behind from a cargo ship that sank there in the 1980s. The park's dive sites sit over a reef bottom and are graded for beginners, though the walls themselves range from shallow reef top down into much deeper water. Ras Mohammed has long been one of the most recognized dive destinations in the northern Red Sea.
