Marsa Nakari Housereef

Marsa Nakari lies on the Red Sea coast of Egypt, south of Marsa Alam, in the Red Sea Governorate. It is a lagoon-style bay with a fringing reef reached directly from the shoreline of the small dive resort camp there, making it a house reef for divers staying at that camp. The reef is a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 12 metres, suiting the shallow, sheltered nature of the bay. Divers here have also reported dolphins and whale sharks passing through, though these are occasional sightings rather than a guaranteed feature of the site.
