Martins Haven

Martins Haven is a small cove on the Pembrokeshire coast of Wales, at the tip of the Marloes peninsula, and serves as the mainland departure point for boats to Skomer Island. The surrounding waters sit within a marine nature reserve at the mouth of St Brides Bay, and the reef here is rated a beginner dive to a maximum depth of around 20 metres. Divers have reported octopus on the reef, though conditions can be trickier than the grade suggests: boat traffic is heavy given the ferry crossings to Skomer, kelp-covered rocks turn slippery at low tide, currents can strengthen during changing tides, and swell picks up on northerly winds.
